Awesome Mail Day

Posted in Videos on September 25, 2008

So today was an awesome day for mail. I recently bought the Twilight series off of Walmart.com for only $30 and I bought a new Bamboo Fun tablet off ebay for 1/2 off! This is like MUCHO amazing because I got them both days before I ever expected them to get here. I <3 internet shopping :)

Server Sadness

Posted in Uncategorized on September 16, 2008

This is the story of a girl… who accidentally deleted everything off of her server (for those of you that don’t know what a server is, it’s a place online where you can keep all your files). Yesterday I switched my blog over to a new host (thank god!) and then decided that I wanted to create a new “Live” page for people to go to when I’m streaming. Well once I finished creating it, I opened up Cyberduck to access my server, then saw I already had a folder named “live” (and so decided to delete it). I’m guessing what happened is that I had my root folder selected as well and without knowing it, I deleted all the contents of my server. This included all of my files, folders, images, videos, and most importantly all of my websites that I had created and saved over the past 6 months. This wouldn’t be a big deal if I had everything already backed up on my computer, but I really only have about 1/2 of it on my hard drive. Everything else is gone forever and I will have to recreate it. This my friends, is what we call a complete fuck up. Pardon my french but it’s true.

Morals of the story: 1) Double check before you delete anything from anywhere and 2) Life sucks, then you die.
