Sometimes I just really really hate school. Half the time teachers and their "system" are bullshit. Ugh. [heyitsRachel]

Final Cut Studio 3
Posted in Uncategorized, Videos on October 1, 2009In late July (the 27th to be exact), Derek and I woke up to find a video online defining all the amazing differences between the current Final Cut Studio 2… and what would be FCS 3. Here is that video:
I was going to post all the major differences between FCS 2 & FCS 3 but then I went to the description page… and well, that would be a lot more typing than I expected, ha! So if you’d like to see the more intimate details check those out here: http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/whats-new.html

Posted in Australia, Australia 2009, Uncategorized on September 29, 2009While in Australia I had the chance to go to a few of the acting classes that Derek’s mom taught at the Actors Creative Studio. You can see the mini-tour video I made here: http://bit.ly/3TgZUL
Suzie (his mom) told me she wanted a new design for the A.C. website, and considering she was kind enough to let me stay in her home throughout my trip to Australia, I offered my services
We went through a few bumps in the road, with not being able to decide if we wanted a splash page, then switching through 3 different font & color schemes, then how each page would be similar to the old site and which ones would be completely different. In the end we came up with what is now the current site:
Australia Day #2
Posted in Australia, Australia 2009, Videos on July 17, 2009Thursday morning I woke up feeling unusually hungry. The Steen family didn’t have a major variety of choices for breakfast though, other than the random health food items in their fridge and pantry. I decided to eat some pumpkin seed bread with sunflower butter and raspberry conserve along with a cup of citrus black tea and some slices of mango. Now that I think about it, that was probably the healthiest breakfast I’ve had in years (lol!).
In the afternoon, Derek and I decided to meet up with his friend Jess at the local “Mac & Me” store to have them look at my computer, as well as so Derek could buy the necessary cable to connect his laptop to his TV. Afterwards, we stopped to get lunch at a neat little takeout restaurant and then went down to the beach nearby.
At night, Derek, his mom, and I went to the Actors Creative Studio in Artarmon. Suzie held a class at 7 pm, where everyone would be performing “cold-readings” with their partners. Derek’s partner skipped class (lucky me
) so I got to take her place and partner up with him. Our skit was about a Christmas elf who was initially looking for donations, but instead decided to mug a rich girl seeing as she “had more than enough to go around” lol. We practiced quite a bit beforehand so it went pretty smoothly, and actually, I was told I was super funny and a natural. It was sort of the highlight of my day
When all that was said and done, as seems to be the usual for the end of any busy day, we drove back to the house where I then eventually passed out.
Trip to Austin
Posted in Events, Videos on October 3, 2008Me and Arianna drive out to Austin for the weekend to meet up with Justine and Karen.
p.s. we also went to the LBJ Museum at UT Austin but they wouldn’t let us take any pictures, so I decided not to include that in the video :/
